This 1965 Pontiac LeMans convertible was modified in the style of a contemporary GTO during a refurbishment commissioned by a Detroit radio station in 2005. The body was placed on a rotisserie and painted silver, the seats were reupholstered in black leather, and a GTO-style hood, emblems, and cabin trim were fitted during the build. The 468ci stroker V8 was assembled with a forged rotating assembly, Edelbrock cylinder heads, a roller camshaft, and Tri-Power induction, and power is routed through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It rides on Global West suspension components and adjustable QA1 coilovers, and the 17″ Rally II-style wheels are mounted over four-wheel disc brakes. The car was photographed in the August 2006 issue of Street Rodder Magazine and was driven by Alice Cooper during a promotion.
